Riding with Apollo 🐴💫

Every Sunday I get to go to the 2K Ranch for horseback riding lessons, and it’s my favorite part of the week! My horse’s name is Apollo, and he is so beautiful and strong. When I ride him, I feel like I’m safe.

The best part is that now I can ride without a trainer holding the reins! At first, it was a little scary, but Apollo listens to me, and I’m getting better and better every time. I practice sitting tall, steering, and being gentle but clear with him.

This fall, I’m practicing for a real trail ride. That means Apollo and I will get to go out on the trails all by ourselves (well, with the group, but no trainer holding me!). I can’t wait to explore the woods and feel like a real cowgirl.

I love Apollo and my lessons so much, they make me feel proud and brave.
